I am on day 1. I gave up before Xmas to save myself and my marriage. Made the silly mistake - feeling great - one drink wont hurt - yeah right. One lead to two and you can guess what happened next

Hi Ang, Good for you! I'm glad you made the decision to stop and that you got through yesterday. I hope you have a good day today!

| ![]() ((((Ang)))) Glad your back on track. As you know the first few days can be rough. Your going through a great deal of changes getting the alcohol out of your system and beginning to feel the emotions again. Just don't beat yourself up. You realize now that yes, one is too many and a thousand is never enough. I love that expression. It rings so very true. Keep posting with us. You help others in our big 'ol Family here whether you realize it or not. God Bless & Thank God . . . Just for Today, Judy

Think I might be able to actually cook a meal tonight - god first time in over a week. My poor husband. My bombshell of a house. Think I need to make a list of things to do. Get out of bed for starters. Do the washing. Clean this alcohol smell out of this room. God it stinks....

Here we are on day 3. Shocking night last night. Just layed in bed. Eyes closed - but I suppose that is better than walking the halls and trying to find something to drink! Night sweats - I am so tired but I am not going to let it get me down. Strong coffee I think to keep me going for the day - as I AM GOING TO GO TO WORK!!! I find if I stay home - that is a huge mistake. Too much temptation to go down the street.
