Keep it up Ang! I just started over yesterday. It's a long road ahead, but I'm trying to live in the now. Stay busy, avoid triggers, and keep coming back to update us

Go in if it would not be good to stay home. Sorry, but that is my suggestion. Just do the "next right thing" every time. In this case, that appears to be going to work!!! I know it is unpleasant. Can you reward yourself in some small way on the way in just for doin the dang thing? Maybe a yummy espresso drink or special herbal tea or a muffin to have in the car? Is there a book on tape to listen to on the way in? That's what I do when I can't seem to get up, think of something that would be nice or fun if I just get out of the bed...I am the queen of pampering myself when I do the right thing... kj

Went to work. Feel so much better for it. Woo Hoo made it thru day 3. Starting to get my house back in order - washing etc. Cooked again tonight. This is getting scary. But I am so proud of myself. Back on my Meds. Can't wait for tomorrow now.

Only slept lightly again last night. What I would do for a good night sleep. Nevermind I know it will happen when my body is ready for it. Looking forward to another busy day at work to keep my mind off things

Day 5 - slept like a log last night. Really don't want to get out of bed now. Could sleep all day. BUT - must keep motivated - go to work - keep busy - keep active. Starting back with my personal trainer at the gym next week. Really starting to get back on track.

Day 6 - feeling a bit low today. Really don't want to go to work. Slept - so so. That probably hasnt helped. Will make sure I go to work today as I know when I am feeling like this if I stay home i know what will happen and I am NOT going down that track again!!!!

Because you're doing this for you. Play the tape through to the end...what happened during your active addiction? How did you feel after you used/drank? How did you feel the next day? How are you going to feel if you throw away your sober time? Do you want to go back to day one again? No, I thought not. Do you go to AA or NA? Now would be a great time to get to a meeting, even if it is your first. Hang in there Ang, you're doing so great!!! kj
