I am curious to get some ideas here and I know you great ladies will come through with some thoughts. I was having a particularly bad day yesterday and I could not shake the feelings. I talked to my mom and she said, " do something really nice for someone else and have it be anonymous...." I thought that was a great idea but am ashamed to say I could not think of many things to do! Sooooo I thought this would be a fun thread to start to get ideas and then maybe we could all share what we did or are planning to do. I bet it is fun!

I've been thinking of taking a vase of fresh flowers to my sweet neighbor across the street and attaching a poem to it, and leaving it on the doorstep, no name signed.

When someone talks bad about someone else that I know, I have always liked to day everything good about them that I can think of. If someone at work worked really hard, I would say something nice about them to the boss.

Great thread.

My neighbor is in her late 70's, she is in the hospital (going on 2 weeks now) having a knee operation. I have been watering her lawn everyday so it is not dead when she comes home!!!

It does gives our souls great joy to do for others, especially annonymously, so really it is a selfish thing for us to do.. LOL - kidding!!!

Last week I was unloading my groceries in the parking lot putting them in my car. An elderly woman next to me was doing the same thing, when I was done I offereed to take her cart back for her with mine, she smiled from ear to ear. Just little things like that make ahuge difference in someones life!

And starting this thread has got me thinking that I need to do more, thanks.

Great idea LG!

Though not anonymous, I had a pizza party for some of the kids in the neighborhood the other day. Since I am off for the summer and all the other parents at work and these kids go all day sometimes without eating I thought it would be fun.

Boy can they eat, will be saving coupons next time!

Hi,

One thing I like to do is keep change with me, and when I see someone parked whose meter time has run out, I put money in the meter.

Sometimes I have gotten there at the same time the meter person, and I have been able to get the change in before they write the ticket. The look on their face is one of complete amazement, or they think I'm crazy.

I love being able to do this because it's something that doesn't cost me alot, and I know that feeling of coming back to your car and finding a parking ticket on it, so even if the people never realize what happended, I know I helped remove a stress thing from someone's day.
