Red face Intro and hello brand new here

Hello ;0)
I am brand new here and just introducing myself- I am a survivor, writer and adult child of alcohol and drug abusers and in a committed relationship with an addict who has recovered from many things but still abuses less severe substances. I have my own addictions that are sharply limited to nicotine but have my own "addict brain".
I will also out myself now as a lesbian so there are no surprises ;0).
I hope that I will be welcome here.

Regardless I want to thank you all for your courage, hard work and bravery in tackling and sharing your journeys.

Welcome to SR!

It sounds like you might be able to find several of our forums useful. From the Adult children of alcoholics, friends and family of alcoholics/substance abusers, women in recovery, as well as many other. Please feel free to check them out and participate. Good to see you here in the womens forum.
Here is a link to our gay and lesbian thread, you might find that thread useful for that part of your life. http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...-part-2-a.html

Welcome and I am so glad you found us.

There are a great group of women here, so make yourself comfortable.

Welcome Falloutcity,
we come from far and wide, we have varied backgrounds, and we belong to different recovery groups.
Sobriety is what we have in common, that, and the need to help others along the way.
