I had had a horrilbe sinus headache since last Saturday. I went in to see the doc on Sunday and was given an antihistamine and a nasal spray. On Tuesday I returned because it was getting worse. She gave me antibiotic, naproxen and was going to give me vicodin but I told her no. I told her darvocet would be better (cuz that helps my pain but does not give me the buzz) I told her isn't that weaker than vicodin and she said NO. (I have since looked it up and found out she was wrong) she had me try T 3. I was in such pain I took it for less than 48 hours, just as prescibed, but it did make me feel weird. (not weird like vicodin weird, but tired and cranky) so I dumped the rest out in the toilet. When I flushed it felt free and relieved.

I should have just told her naproxen was fine. I was in a lot of pain though, but I honestly think it could have led to going back out and I am thankful it didn't. I felt pretty normal the next day and today. I am very grateful.

I know how difficult that is - to be in pain and have to say, I can't have any .. whatever it is...

I did that with my own doc early in my recovery- and haven't regretted it (in the long run) yet.
