A Sober 2008 - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I just came from a dance group, and after the dance we all sat in a circle and said our name and a few words of what we'd like to manifest in 2008. I didn't say continued sobriety, but that's #1 to me....I'm looking forward to this new year and whatever God has in store for me. I could never have imagined how good 2007 would be....I'm so grateful for all the lessons and growth. I really didn't think sobriety could ever be as much fun as my drinking life had been (at times)....but it has proven to be, on a much deeper level. I'd love to hear some affirmations from others about staying sober in the New Year.
So glad to be back to these 'rooms'; they're a great way for me to stay in touch with recovery in my travels. Be well. kim

Great post! I am excited to be able to say that I got sober last year!!! LOL I know it is silly...but hey that's just me!

I am looking forward to 2008 and all that it has to bring. I try not to make plans...because as we all know the best laid plans....

I'm hoping my bipolar addict son will get help and get clean in 2008.

I am looking forward to many exciting new adventures in 2008, something I would have thought impossible not so long ago.

Nothing felt better than getting rid of my demons this year.I am getting married in July,08.This is going to be the best year of my life.And I plan on staying clear headed.

I just wish 08 will be another year of sobriety for me. Working my program and keep growing emotionally and spiritually as I have been doing for the last 4 years. Best wishes to all for this new year.Swamijapa
