Holidays

I LOVE the holidays....I think. We get/have to be with/around our families/those we're genetically connected to...people we love (sort of)

Folks just won't let ya' isolate at Christmas time, will they...lol.

Love~

I, personally, believe in Santa. Heck, I AM Santa...lol

A few years back when my son asked me if Santa Claus was real, I told him that at some point every child stops believing in Santa. And some day he'd stop believing too. When you stop believing, Santa stops coming to you. But that's okay, because then your mom and dad pretend to be Santa and you still wake up to the stuff that Santa brings. I told him he'd not believe for many years. But when he's grown, he'll start to believe again when he sees that Santa comes to his children.

I was proud of myself for that one. My 10 y/o son still believes...lol.

HO HO HO!

When you stop believing in Santa Claus
is when you start getting clothes for Christmas.

I told Santa you were good this year....and

He hasn't stopped laughing since! :rof:

When my kids were a lot younger (31 and 24 now) I knew they did not believe in Santa but I never allowed them to know that. One day I overheard my daugther telling my son: "Be carefull when you talk about Santa in front of Mum, because she really believes that Santa exists). Isn't that cute? Happiness to all of us. And now a New Year to wrap up the holiday season.

Kids are shooting fireworks in the back yard. The dogs are huddled up inside, either fearful or believing me easily-beguiled. I'm a push-over tonight...lol. There are crumbs of cookies that are finally gone in the bottom of both cookie jars. The brownie pan has only 1 brownie left. I'll save that one for my son. Since the ham's all been eaten, I'll cook something else to go with the black-eyed peas tomorrow. Maybe fish.... How would that be for New Year's Day....would be good for my ever-so-buxom physique.

There's an extra child spending the night, I just learned. I'm thinking Fruit Loops will work when they wake. Some orange juice for virgin mimosas I guess will add that little umph to kick off the new day...the new year...two thousand eight.

Happy New Year, Y'all!

Peace~
