Nandm - I remember when our house got broken into when I was younger....my mom said the same thing about the gun. She also said she felt personally "violated". I was young, but totally ticked off that they had stolen my jar with my change in it! I, too, am glad I hit bottom before I got to stealing things from people. Glad you have such a great neighbor and you're getting everything back. Hugs and prayers! Amy

It turns out he was in a stolen van loaded with stolen property so the police officer was happy because he wound up making a fairly big bust. Guess God was looking out for more than just me. I did have to laugh though at the thought of the guy after going to all the trouble to steal the box to open it up and find flares, a rain jacket, tire chains, etc... in it rather than just tools. I bet he was mad. Ironically robbing me for nearly nothing was what got him caught not the stolen vehicle. Thanks for all your thoughts and comments. I appreciate each of you. Judith

Glad you got your stuff back. Sorry your stuff got stolen to begin with. I've had a few things ripped off lately. Aggravating as all get-out. ~dig
