I'm Amy and I'm addict. My life changed after I tried crack for first time 8 years ago. I've got a nice family who don't know about drugs at all until they went through with my crap. Lots of stories to tell. I am really tired of this and I really want to get out. I don't like going to NA meetings because I am Deaf. I just sit there and am not able to understand a thing or share my story. I am hoping this can be my "meetings" and I'm trying to find someone who I could talk when i have urges. I have 3 children and am pregnant with 4th child. My husband doesn't use drugs. I used during 2 past pregnancies and thank God they came out O.K. This pregnancy I really want to be clean. I've tried pulling myself out so often. It's hard. I haven't used crack for a year but i take like 10 ultram every 4 hours. The pattern is still there. I just had relapse two days ago with crack. How does this work? Is there any chat line or meeting online? Thanks!! |

Hi Amy, Welcome! This is a great place to come for support. There is always someone around to talk to. Our chat is down at the moment, so there are no online meetings. But, you can PM me anytime, if you want to talk. I am always around.

Congrats to you for making the decision to get sober. You can do this, you are NOT alone!!! Great job not using crack. I would suggest that you talk to your dr about stopping the ultram, especially being pregnant. You can do this, support is here you have made the first step by reaching out.

Welcome to the women's forum and I'm glad to hear that you're getting clean again, I agree with Paulie about seeing a doctor about the ultram. Congratulations on your pregnancy by the way.

Hi found Welcome...so glad you are here. A suggestion that may help..A National Organization "The Independent Living Center may help by providing a signer for you for the face to face meetings. ILC's are designed and managed to aid individuals and provide resources to enhance our lives in the community. online meetings are fantastic...and thnere is something special about the face to face meetings..It is there we get to learn to look others in the eye and see the hope we desperately seek. Those connections are so importrtant for the support, love and encouragement for the day to day struggles that seem hige, especially in early revoery. I am so happy you found us and are joining us on this journey. There are only a few meetings I can get to as a result of my disability..So I combine online recovery with the cherished few meetings I am able to attend. Hugs to you!!!
