Three days age my husband had a heart attack. It happened 20 minute after i got home from work. Luckily we both recognized what is was we got him to the hospitol early enough that there was minimal damage to the heart but this was the biggest test for me since being in recovery. I have heard the word complacement while in recovery and i guess i was either in denial or didnt recognize it. My husband is home now (he is also in recovery) and he is doing well. There will be rehabilitation 3 times a week and Dr visits twice a week but with our HP we will get through it all. Thaanks for letting me share. Holley

Holly so sorry about your husband, you did all the right things and the doctors can do many things for heart problems these days. I have a mitral valve prolapse myself. I am praying for a good recovery for your husband and strength for you at this time.

Hi Holley, I'm so glad you could be there for your husband - and that you were quick-thinking enough to recognize the heart attack. No matter what tests we face in sobriety, we don't have to drink over them. Well done! Please keep posting when you can we are glad that you are here. Rowan |
