Hi

Hi,

My name is Elizabeth and I am an alcoholic. If I don't drink for the next 49 days i will have 3 years of Sobriety.

I had a drunk dream last night for the first time in about 2 and a half years and it scared the crap out of me. I prayed, called my sponsor and then went on line to see what i could read about drunk dreams and found this site. This is a wonderful forum and I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself.

Thank you so much for being here. I hope to become part of your online family.

Elizabeth

Welcome, I'm glad you found us and I look forward to your posts. I still have the occasional drunk/drug dream, it takes some time when I wake up to realize that it was a dream and I then try to reground myself.

Thank you for the Welcome.

My sponsor says it means there is some growth coming. I think it is because I took a 5th step for the first time yesterday from a sponsee. It was kind of intense but an amazing experience. I think it is just residual from that experience. It was scary as hell though and I am grateful it was just a dream.

Hi jungue, I am so glad you found this place. Congratulations on almost three years sober, that is great. I also have had drinking dreams, they scare the doo-doo out of me too, I end up going over the last few days and tracing my steps to see if they are real (thank God, just dreams so far)...scary stuff.

Hi Elizabeth,

Welcome to SR - I'm glad you found us. Those dreams scare me too - and remind me where I came from.
