Smile A Christmas Blessing

I recently posted about going to court to regain custody of my 4 y/o daughter. I signed over temporary custody to my ex when I began my recovery. Without going into the details of the last year on this post, I really want to offer encouragement to the newcomer.

Yesterday the Judge ordered my little girl be returned to me. It has been a long stressful year full of drinking, getting sober (10 months 12/22/06!), working for the first time in several years, changing people, places and things.

I do know this....The 12 Steps Work. I walked into court yesterday peaceful, faithful and willing to do the next right thing even if it did not include my Lacey coming home. My program and HP have blessed me, Lacey and my family beyond all this Christmas.

Hang in there to all newcomers, there are mountains and valleys, just go with it and don't give up before the miracles start happening.

Red face Thank you all for being a support

Cute as a bug's butt she is!

I was speaking to my mom and a pastor today. Feeling unproductive being currently unemployeed, asking for financial help, being humble enough to accept it. I've been working my 4th step for a while now and a lot came out today.

I am grateful my Lacey is coming home to a sober mommy. All the rest is working out as HP has the reins and I am in the sleigh next to him!
