I took my test today.

I have been an ophthalmic assistant for over 21 years. I never bothered to certify (fear of taking the test). I finally faced the fear today. and, I passed. I am now a CERTIFIED ophthalmic assistant.

Thank God that stress is over.

I celebrated with a bowl of 'carmal praline crunch ice cream with chocolate syrup'.

I think that is tooo COOL......and the after effects of the passing is also way too cool........I think it is NEVER too late in life to do anyything and it is also good for your self-esteem, your being afraid but having the growth to overcome your FEAR and do it.........................

Also, the most important part of all is stocking up on all goodies in the grocery store and making sure that the checking account is in order to handle a few bags of "STUFF" AKA things that are deserving in any given situation that women like to rationalize just to get a bunch of sweets and other really sloppy sweetning ice creams, candy, cake, our favorite item in the whole world that we can eat in one sitting and then ALWAYS wonder WHY we feel so bad!!!!! I am so happy for you......Congrats.......YEAH......I think a party is in order...I think you should drop subtle hints around the house...."a party would be really nice-I haven't seen my friends in days etc"........!!! After I posted, I crashed from the stress. I took a 2 hour nap on the couch. What a way to blow off a saturday afternoon. I needed it.

Thanks for all the congrats.

PS. I also got my nails done again since this will mean more money in my paycheck. (I sacrificed getting my nails done about a year ago, and I miss having them done every 2 weeks.)
