On the fence....
until I started reading posts on here and saw just how many people like me are alcoholics and made the plunge to a sober recovery. That gave me hope and strength. I quit cold turkey, on my own, no support, and with raw emotion after losing my fur baby. Something just clicked. Here I am now on Day 70 and still going strong. Miracles can happen. It happened to me.

I agree, Heavencanwait. Not feeling alone anymore meant everything to me. Before coming here I had no one in my life who understood what I went through. They still don't, but I have all of you to talk things over with - and that's made all the difference.

Excellent! For myself,in more ways than one. I joined SR years ago when in the initial stages of my recovery, to simply share experience, strength and hope to help others, including myself recover from alcoholism...that was back in Feb., 2008n and I,like you are am still here...well done
