Unhappy I was desperate when I found SR

I was desperate to stay sober but kept relapsing. Well, now, after being here three years I finally have 18 months sober!! It IS possible for an old relapser like me to finally stay sober and be happy about it.

I owe a huge debt of love and gratitude to SR for the kindness and support I've always found here.

Wonderful!!!

wonderful, I think of the time when I never thought I'd stay sober for a day, let alone over the period I've now been sober, so I share your joy, it's a remarkable achievment, for any recovering alcoholic, great!!!!

Great post.....it gives me hope.....I'm a chronic relapser myself.....I keep a journal......once in a while I look back to see how many entries start with "It's Day 1 again"......too many to count....really depressing.....my record within the last three years is 59 days.......that was 6 months ago....I'm at 15 days now....fingers crossed....
