Glad for another chance

I recently relapsed from 8 months of sobriety and did it in horrible fashion. I thought I could have a few drinks and while only drinking for an hour and a half on am empty stomach and blacked out. The next thing I remember is the police station and being told that I ran red lights and ran from the cops. I violated my probation and am going to have to go to prison for 2 years. This is very difficult for me since I have a young daughter that means the world to me. I feel so bad and dont understand why I would do this when I have so much to risk. I am thankful for finding this site and that I didnt hurt anyway during my stupidity, and look forward to the future and becoming sober one day at a time for the rest of my life.
