The first time that I came on here was when I was trying to find out a bit more about AA. I knew that I really needed to get to a group but I didn't really know what the format was. I don't even remember my sign up name from then mind you!

Then a couple of nights ago I realised that I needed some support to get me through the night at work. I do nightshift and I find it difficult not to feel a bit down on nightshifts. Everyone else is running on the opposite time to me!

I've found it so valuable so far and I hope that being on here I can help someone else.

I am 93 days sober now a day at a time and I am so grateful.

That night shift can do a number on anyone. I felt that working nights gave me an excuse to drink at any hour I wanted. I would think This is my happy hour (8am) and who are you to tell me I can't drink whenever and whatever time it is!
