I was going no where fast

I was going no where fast with my alcohol and drug addiction about five years and four months ago, but by God's grace and mercy I am here sharing with you wonderful people. Going to AA was the best thing I ever done I now have my life back, I still go through things and sometimes things get hard but I do no that picking up that drink or drug will not help, and that I can always call some or make a meeting and work on the steps to keep me in check. Alcohol and drugs no longer consumes my thoughts I can think today, and I only have to take it one day at a time.

I love the name Sneakers!

Being sober opens up more doors than it closes. I am grateful that I made the decisions to get and stay sober. It looked almost like I was going to die first.

Going to AA was my salvation. Working the program was what I hadn't done before so knew I had to do it for sure. Didn't have a Sponsor so this time got a temporary one until I found a full time sponsor....ever so grateful for her help in all ways.

It is a miracle to me that I have the life I have today, living sober. :praying
