| Elder's Meditation - December 4
"In the end I tell my children, there's no way I can tell you how to be an Acoma, how to be an Indian. You have to experience it." --Stanley Paytiamo, ACOMA PUEBLO Each person must make their own journey. It is like every human is given a life canoe. The canoe has one seat and one paddle. In order to get anything out of life we must be in the canoe and we must paddle down the river of life. Now, I can share with you how my journey has been, but I cannot paddle your canoe. You must paddle your own. Good luck! Creator, I'm so glad I have You to guide my path.

| My journey
Thank you for that posting Ann. Before when I was drinking I was in the water - struggling and fighting and drowning. Then I stopped drinking and learned to tread water. A long time later I found my canoe. It has taken a long time (6 years into my program) to find my oar and realise that I can navigate my river of life (along with my higher power's help). Maggie

In reading your post a light bulb turned on for me ... life is the water and we are not supposed to 'contain it' ... I can now see myself in a canoe holding the paddle, ready.. with the ability to set the course of my life ...no matter what may come up in my path... | |
