| Am I sufficiently scared?
I have been interviewing for jobs after not having worked in my field for over two and a half years. Depending on the position I get, I may be working in the "candy store," that is, with my drugs of choice. I AM scared. I would prefer not to be in this position, but I REALLY need a job. I just wanted to tell you all what's up. Thank you! Love and hugs, Eddie

Eddie, I hope you get the job you want and I can imagine how you feel. It seems like it could be a stressful situation, but I think you're up for it! Love, Anna

Eddie, There comes a point in sobriety that we can and need to trust ourselves. I feel you are at the point of self trust. You'd be in a position to help others with your trained skills. Even after not using, we can't let drugs/alcohol remove things we need or enjoy. Sounds to me your very aware of the situation. I suggest when you get the job, not if, you put a map of Palm Springs on your desk. And maybe a picture of the NYC gang to keep an eye on you. Don W
