| It's been ages I been on here. Been ages I've been on this board. I apologize for that. I just wanted to say I'm doing really good. I'm working thru a different program than 12 steps. I'm doing SMART Recovery and I really like the way they think and all. I'm clean for over 4 months now, doing better, working a lot. Well that's it. Hope you're all doing good as well. |

BSPGirl; I'm so glad you are doing well! Thanks for letting us know how it's going. ![]() You may know that there are others onboard here at SR following SMART and other alternatives to AA. Don S is very knowledgeable and Tyler chairs an alternative online meeting every Wednesday night! I hope you won't stay away because you chose an alternative route to your health and sobriety. Whatever works for you works. Keep doing it! ![]() Shalom!

Welcome back BPSGirl. Not sure I remember you, but glad to meet you. Although AA myself, I've drawn much from Smart Recovery. I've incorporated their Congnitive Therapy into my total program. This has especially helped with my PTSD. So many low self esteem issues from PTSD were tied into my self medicating with alcohol. Like History mentioned, Don S, posts many great Smart Recovery/Recovery posts. However, we could always learn new tricks, HINT! Don W
