Daily Perspective Check - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I was thinking of a way to add to all the wonderful daily posts many of you guys post. If, nobody minds each day I'd like to post something to help us put
things into perspective. I work at a Children's Hospital and go to The Veterans Hospital so, I have plenty of material. Today I'll give my first installment.

Today, When I arrived at work I saw this child. This child was crippled with some illness and could barely walk. This child was laughing and smiling while he headed for his medical appointment.

I am able in recovery, to see these things daily. They were there when I wasn't in recovery. They might help you also. Don W

I miss noticing those types of things.

Don, what a beautiful post and what a beautiful idea. I'd love to read your daily posts and give my heart a lift.

What you shared about being able to see those little things applies to codependents like me, also. For so many years I was so wrapped up in my obsessions and fear that I failed to notice how beautiful each day was. Today I pay attention and am grateful to have better vision.

Thanks, Isn't it amazing the size of the shadow the smallest thing can cast on our lives?. I'll continue daily. Don W
