I had parakeets years ago and they used to mimic the birds outside. One time I thought I heard a house finch singing but it was my parakeets.

I think most animals like music.

I love the little whiny growly sounds Billie makes when she's excited. Riding in the car she is constantly 'talking' to me about what she sees out the window.

The Sounds of Morning; I had totally forgotten how beautiful they were.

The little contented groaning noise Billie makes when she settles into my lap to sleep.

At the end of March we took a family vacation to Oahu, where I discovered my most favorite sound in sobriety. Waking up early to the sounds of exotic birds and other creatures outside my window.

The sounds of the night - crickets, owls - sounds I completely missed.

I love to hear the little yips and woofs Jack makes when he's dreaming. His little feet jerk and he makes the cutest little muted barking noises.

That is a riot, least.

My husband is rather funny to watch, too.

I love to hear the crunching my dogs make when they're eating a biscuit or treat.

I just returned from Key West, where Roosters, hens and chicks are ubiquitous and the cocks crow all the time.

It's really quaint, in a Key West sort of way.

I also like the sound of my 26 lb. Maine coon cat Mayfield when he purrs on my chest.

I like the little contented groaning noise Billie makes when she settles down on her blankie. It's the sound of a happy doggie.

Great topic! I "hear" better, and by that I mean I can hear nuances in music that I usually missed when drinking.

I like the cute noises my 2 donkeys make when they see us coming to give them carrots and apples.

I also like hearing 40 race car engines fire up after hearing "Drivers, start your engines."
