Early Sober Risers Check-in Thread
Good morning Early Risers
It is currently 4am. This time of day is so wonderful! Before the sun comes up and everything is calm and quiet (the exception being my husband who snores like a beast).
As I have not yet gone to sleep, I find the peace a tad bittersweet. The longer I venture on my sober journey the more I find myself considering working towards flipping my internal clock.
Maybe I could enjoy life in a different way if I transformed from night owl into early riser? This would offer the possibility of more hours of winter daylight, among other things.
Enjoy your beautiful day, early risers.

Good morning all, it's 9.30am day 21 sober, the weather here is miserable but my head is ok.
It will get better after coffee, today i plan to do something positive as this sitting around all day is doing me no good.
There is a course running for people on invalidly pension in IT, I am already quite handy with normal pc and laptops, I can build them and program them but these new ipad things I haven't a clue.
I need to start learning quick to keep a roof over my head,.
My social worker rang a charity yesterday to see would they assist me throughout the year while i attend it, they supply food vouchers which have strictly no alcohol written on the bottom.
Suits me fine so fingers crossed that will work out.If it doesn't I'm sure my HP has something else in mind.
Enjoy your day all you sober people and especially those of you trying to get back.

If I had known about these ear
plugs while in my first marriage
then it could have given me an
extra arsenal in my recovery tool
box to use to combat my husbands
snoring......Boules Quies Ear Plugs
Having them now in my marriage
along with a small A/C unit behind
my bed and above my head to keep
me cool in my ever changing body
tempt. and helps me sleep a little more
peacefully without hearing unwanted
noises.
Searching for helpful solutions for
the many life situations that we face
on a daily bases can help us strive
for a healthier, happier life in recovery.

Eyes puffy from crying last night. XALH took cat to the vet yesterday and she has feline leukemia. I will have her this weekend at my apartment and go in with her next week to be euthanized
I will spoil her rotten
Showed up at work Monday usual time and found out I had 2 day long training
I had not checked and cleared email or I would have known
Guess worse things have happened
Hoping for a positive day!
At least I don't have a hangover just look like one

That comes as sad news on this 5:32 AM early Wednesday morning .
Life can sure be tough at times.
Yes, it's easy to take it for granted.
I just heard yesterday that a sweet young special needs Lady I knew from my AA home group was run over and killed the other night by a man high on pills.

Hope you got a little more sleep in Mountainbob.
Yesterday was a good one after all.
I always enjoy my morning coffee while reading SR and Recovery meditations.
Life is precious and I am grateful to live it sober today.
Work, therapist, visit dogs and the store for kitty supplies.
I'm up and running.
Have a good Thursday everyone!

I'm the 1st one up?
Hope everyone has good plans for the weekend.
I'm picking my cat up after work to spend her last weekend with me.
I've handled drama from XAH well. No poor me thinking or drinking.
I hope to have a calm peaceful time with her. She can watch the birds and relax.
I'm grateful to experience this sober.
Happy Friday to all!

Good morning
Slept till 6. Usually up at 4:30. Of course I go to bed around 8:30. I remember still being awake from all nighters at 6 back in the day.
Skipping yoga class to hang out with my cat. There is always YouTube for yoga at home. I have a Tai Chi dvd I need to try also.
Have a happy and sober Saturday everyone.

Life on life's terms today
5:57 AM here and I have been up for a little while.
My Dad was admitted (again) to the hospital last night.
I'm going to visit him in a little while.
He's 86 years old and I thank God that
he has not had to worry about his drinking son for the last 8 years.
He and my Mom are so very happy that I stopped drinking.
