It's like water...
Recovery, to me is like water...still water stagnates, becomes poisonous and will eventually, left to the elements, dry up to the point it eventually disappears...
Flowing water, breathes life into itself and all that surrounds it, irrigating life itself...
So it's necessary, in recovery to do whatever needs to be done, whatever program or path you chose, and move on so that recovery doesn't stagnate, but flourishes and benefits from its very existence.
Allowing the potential for new , ever changing horizons , experiences and challenges that broaden and strengthen its journey as it flows.
Like the streams that feed a river, expanding, nourishing and strengthening it on its journey...we're all, if we allow it, like streams that become rivers on our journey in recovery and life...
