| Time has stopped
My best friends mother was placed in ICU two days ago and the world has stopped for my friend. Today the hospital put her on a ventialator without hope of recovery. My point being, my problem seems so minute in stark comparison to thinking of the wishes of friends mother. Puts everything into perspective. Count your blessings even if its only one blessing. I'll be around in and out for the next couple days. Take Care Gary

I'm glad you stopped in, and I'm sorry for your friend and his mother. I'll say a prayer for them, and keep them in my thoughts. I know it must be tough for him. Don't forget to take care of yourself along the way, and we'll see you when you can get back.

Gary, this is so true...It is sometimes difficult to find gratitude when it feels as if lots of bad things happen. But there are always things to feel grateful for and that helps me a lot in my perspective. The more I focus on gratitude, the better I find my life. I am sure your friend is very grateful to have your support and caring. I'm saying prayers for your friend and his mom, and you too.

My prayers are zinging out for you your friend and his Mother. It's a sad time for all of you and there is no easy way to walk thru. I find comfort in Psalms 23.. perhaps you and your friend will too.

I think I just experienced what Heaven is like... individuals not physical but in spirit wishing my friends' mother be at peace with the unfolding future. I always made a comment ,"Tap me on the shoulder when I pass through Heaven." To all that posted in response to "my friends' mother." I just passed through Heaven. Thank you from the humbleness of my heart. Compassion is a virtue true of "good" friends. I bow at your presence; my friends. Gary

Hi Gary, hope and more prayers on the way, for your friend, his mother and you. These are difficult times and you remainning in tact is exactly what your friend needs from you right now. My lover of 18 years and I experienced her fathers illness and death a short year ago, she always says how I helped her get through it, just by being there, and sober... My heart goes out to you Gary, you and your friend are in my thoughts, Hugs ((((((((hope3)))))))))

It may appear to have stopped and probably has--Was in nursing for over 33 years--One can never prepare for the inevitable of a dearly loved one. What is amazing is even for the dysfuntional families-the loss of a loved one brings the rawest and most painful emotions. Those of us watching are ovrwhelmed with that horrible feeling of helplessness.. Much Love--a graet deal of prayers ar goin out to both your friend and for you.
