Thanks to all for the pictures! Some very lovely cats! I'll have to figure out how to post so I can show off my fur-babies! Maine Coons are great cats! I've had Siamese and just run of the mill moggies. The two I have now are feral rescues and the best kitties I've had yet! Fuzz Bucket is a long haired silver and grey tabby. He's a monster in size! Huge belly and very loving. The Old Girl is a tiny little black cat. She acts like a Siamese, very vocal with the long hind legs and big ears. I have a real soft spot for those orange cats. There's a great book "Tail Chaser's Song" by Tad Williams about an orange cat living in the wild. It's sort of a cat version of "Watership Down." I highly recommend it! Love, Lenina |

I hate them, too. I found one, you could peel the colors off, restick them where you want them They were EASY to get all the colors where you wanted them! If my cats were to find one, they would swat it across the room.

Oh Stone! Thanks for those! Amazing to me how animals know a baby and cut it some slack! My Old Girl can open nearly anything she puts her mind to. Wish I had that laser-like focus. I keep the cat nip in a plastic tub. Old Girl goes nuts when I shake it. I've never seen a cat so fond of cat nip! Fuzz Bucket partakes when the 'nip is offered but I just think he's being polite. He doesn't get as nutty as the Old Girl for it! Love, Lenina |

(((Stone))) - I LOVE those!!! I'm glad my cats can't open the cat food OR their treats! They do know when I go into the cabinet where their treats are, though. Heck, I can barely go into the kitchen, without 3 cats and the chihuahua, hot on my heels, wanting treats! We learned not to leave any bags of cat food or dog food where Elvis can get hold of it. Even if it's something he doesn't really like, he will tear a hole into it. That's why I buy their food in plastic containers ![]() I'm about to go out to work, and am getting prepared to be "fussed" at by Mots. He wants me to stay in bed with him. He will yell at me, the whole time I'm getting dressed. He's the only cat, I know, that I can have a conversation with. As long as you talk to him, he will "talk" back. Hugs and prayers! Amy

I need some advice. One of my cats, the sort of head cat, wee's on things that are left lying about. On the floor, or on tables. It is a great motivation to put things in their rightful place, but it is also very annoying and smells. She is a female cat. Does anyone know how to stop it? Is she lazy or doesn't like weeing outside or is she marking her territory. It started when the lady across the road died and we landed up with her cat. Before that, I just had two and they are sisters.

lostbutterfly - It could be a number of things. She could be upset about not being with the lady anymore. I would take her to the vet for a check-up just to be on the safe side that there isn't anything wrong with her.

lostbutterfly, It's possibly a behavioral problem. She may not be adjusting to the new addition to the household. Best to get it checked out with the vet just to make sure there's no urinary tract infection. The vet would also have advice for making behavior modifications. Cats have an eloquent way of expressing their feelings. Old Girl makes her feelings known to me by the dropping of a "log" on the bathroom tiles! She's usually mad at me about something when she does this. I translate this act as her telling me she thinks I'm being a sh!t. Love and Lysol, Lenina |

that IS a cute video, and the funny thing is, her voice woke up my cat, Mots. He jumped up and looked at the laptop ![]() Mots (the big mouth) insisted on going outside the other night. About 10 minutes later, we were under a tornado warning and got hit with a hail storm. I was out on the carport, yelling for him, but he was nowhere to be found. Guess he found somewhere safe to be...he came in, the next morning, as usual. I can't WAIT until I get a place of my own, and all 3 cats will be under "house arrest" and no longer allowed to roam. Hugs and prayers! Amy

Ok..Arent cats suppose to be stealth like and quiet? I always thought so. So why is it that Bobble sounds like a herd of elephants when she goes through the house. And stealth? LOL Not even close. My cat is so clumsy and loud. She will jump up to the back of the couch and miss and fall off the back. Or fall short and bounce of the back cushions and go flying back onto the floor. My cat is not normal at all.
