Security Risk Threats

I'm getting security alerts whenever I get on SR again. Using Internet Explorer and don't get this on any other sites.

Wondering why this keeps happening?

Thanks for all you do, btw.

Me too. I get the following...

The page you are trying to access has been identified as a known exploit, phishing, or social engineering web site and therefore has been blocked for your safety. Without protection, such as that in the AVG Security Toolbar and AVG, your computer is at risk of being compromised, corrupted or having your identity stolen. Please follow one of the suggestions below to continue.

Mods,

I looked into this and the threat I am getting is called bloodhound exploit 193 according to Norton.

Bloodhound.Exploit.193 | Symantec

Quote:
Discovered: June 23, 2008
Updated: June 23, 2008 4:56:13 PM
Type: Trojan, Virus
Systems Affected: Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows XP

Bloodhound.Exploit.193 is a heuristic detection for files attempting to exploit the Adobe Flash Player Multimedia File Remote Buffer Overflow.
Symantec blocked this on my machine so I am really in no danger but it makes me wonder how the SR server(s) got infected.

Hope this helps

I really like this site and I would hate to stop coming here, but I have to admit that I am getting really concerned. I know they have tried to fix it before, but here it is again.

I'm getting it, too. I've been reading where others have been getting it for several weeks but I never did until this morning. I use Firefox and thought maybe that's why I wasn't getting the message, but apparently, that's not the case.

I took it out again. The only thing I can do is take it out when I see it.

I know the owners have been working on it.

Thank you for letting me know. I usually get a PDF prompt when it's here so it's easy for me to spot, but keep letting us know.
