| Centiyo Malware Warning??
I use Safari on my Mac. I started getting malware warnings whenever I enter sobberrecovery... also, if I choose to ignore, everytime I go to a new forum, I get the warning. I googled it and found a site talking about some plugin that v-bulletin uses... VBSEO (???) IDK... You guys know about this? I also got the warning when I tried to enter another forum while I was investigating. Mark

Someone else PMed me about this. I googled it - seems to be a phenomenon on many forums today (my time). I don't know anything else. D

| FREAKING AWESOME! |
I had something wierd go on today too. It said something at the bottom of the screen where it loads or say 'done' when it's done loading and it was some nasty language and I was like what in the world is this. Then I tried to go to a forum and my computer froze up. So I don't have a clue what is going on but that was really wierd!

I believe it's a V-Bulletin issue and MG will be along with better details soon. But you are all safe here.

It is still happening, when I clicked on "Forums" just now, at the bottom of my screen where it usually says "done" was some nasty language (with the "F" word) and then I got a kernal error or something and had to exit out.

Just to confirm, I've also had (and continue to have) some strange computer issues today as well, not only on this forum (the "f..." word stuff at the bottom as others have said and messages freezing up) but also on my email (there's a privacy report "eye" showing up on my email account, something I've never seen before plus a few other weird things.) These may not be related, but all are equally strange. And hopefully it's nothing serious!

| I also use AVG and had the same experiences today. I was using Internet Explorer. I switched to Firefox and no more pop up threats. I sent a trouble email to AVG (I have a paid version) with the details. When I get a reply I will post.

It is still happening. I am trying to ignore it as I know the site is safe, must be something that V Bulletin (the server) has done. Love and hugs,

Download Firefox if you don't have it yet and use it as your browser. No problems. I also just found out that Firefox downloads the extra Smilies a LOT faster than Internet Explorer. No more flashing screen, etc. Think I'll use Firefox all the time for SR even after the problem gets fixed.

I got a "link corrupted" message last night from AVG with the offensive language at the bottom of the error notice ... computer froze ... had to reboot ... ran all of my malware/spyware/virus/spybot programs ... all clean ... got in this morning w/o issue ... using Firefox this morning; last night I was on Explorer.

Thank you Slingblade61. I removed the link and contacted the owners. I read that there is a security patch available and it will be fixed soon. Please post here if you have any more problems so we are aware of it.

Firefox will solve 99% of your problems. Regular clearing of your cookies will rid your computer of anything that has been stored. I run this program once or twice a week, just to clear anything that might have slipped by, and I have no problems ever (touch wood). It is free and it is safe. admins, see post at the bottom of this. Problem with W7C! - Windows 7 Center Forums Question for firefox users (rhetorical. . just something to think about) How is not getting the warning not a problem? I mean, if firefox fails to warn about a potential threat, I would seem to me that firefox is less secure. |

Now I'm getting that same message when I try to go somewhere on the site. I wish it would just go away. My computer freezes up and acts weird.
