Copy and Paste to Word

How do I paste and copy to a word doc.? Saw A great poem about "Dont Quit" I would like to save. Thanks!!>>>>>>>>>>

P.S. I have tried highlighting and right clicking to copy then opening a word doc. to paste
but cant get it to paste.

Highlight it and push Ctrl c to copy it and then push Ctrl v to paste it.

WOOPS That dosent work eithor-- I must be doing something wrong here--Maybe you could walk me through it BABY_STEPS at a time......Please!! I'm using Word 2007 if that matters.

Can you successfully paste text from other websites or just the one you've found the poem on? Try copying just a couple of words and pasting into a text file. If you are successful then paste the same words into Word.

Yes I can copy from all other sites that I have tried to, but not from SR. The poem I was trying to copy was on an SR site sent by nongard.

Here is what I learned. If you copy & paste to a Microsoft Works Word Processor document, it will paste. Then you can copy & paste from Works to a Word 2007 document. I don't know why it worked that way, but it was the only way I could make it work. Here is the poem that I wanted to keep:

DON’T QUIT – EVER

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
