Unable to get in chat

When I try to enter the chat room's it tells me it is a Java ap that needs to be downloaded. I currently have the most current edition of Java running on my computer. When I try to go to the Java download site I'm directed to from here, my computer won't let me download anything because it is an "unauthorized site". I've tried lowering the security levels on my browser, even setting a custom setting, but I can't get it to download and thus it won't let me into chat. Any ideas or suggestions??

If you are using IE as a browser, you should get a pop down alert that at the top of the screen that, if you right click it, will give you the option of downloading it. You could also go directly to Java.com and try downloading whatever is needed. It is just an applet that is required to enter the chatroom. Perhaps, it is a matter of managing the 'Add Ons', which can be down by acessing the 'Tools' button in your browser menu bar?

For what it's worth I run Firefox and have the script blocking enabled. I have to approve it to run Java (either temporarily or ongoing) or I will get a message that I need to install Java (already installed also).

I had similar issues that you're currently having on others sites running Internet Explorer.

I prefer to get my Java downloads directly through the Sunn Microsystems. You might try getting the download in this manner.

Thanks for the tip. My Java is all current and downloaded directly from Sun. I'll try running Firefox though. Thanks.

I had the same problem ... I think honestly I restarted my com...that usually fixes my problems...I too already had it downloaded and all that....I also use firefox.... good luck..hope to see ya in there...
