i run a mac, so viruses an trojans do not affect my system, its just ive noticed that SR is slow in all regards.
slow to load slow to post replies
i was still waiting after7minutes for post reply page to load just before, so was just wondering if there is a problem at your end?
as ive done all the diagnostic stuff on my system(do it daily) an she's running smooth as everywhere but here.
If anyone can enlighten me i'd be glad for it.

The problem is probably the server SR uses, whether it is under attack or just going wonky I dunno.

my computer fine but only this site was crazy slow last night and once again this morning i also got a message saying "data base error" but back working now a little better.

It's been knocking me out for days.

I had 522 trojans in all my drives the other day. Probably on my end.

I have been having the same problems.

I kept getting the message data base error for a few hours yesterday. My Norton's is also going crazy with trojan alerts too. And slow, wow, I can click on something, leave the room, go get a can of Diet Pepsi out of the frig and when I come back, I'm still not connected.

WHEN I NEED MY SR, I NEED MY SR!!!!!

this is crazy, better not damage my computer!
i will nopt be happy at all if this virus or whatever affect my system!

It is not a virus. There are some problems from additional programs they are testing on the server. I will keep them informed of the problems so they can fix them.

Please be specific about the problems you are having so I know what to tell them since I don't have the same problems as some of you do. What's happening today?

had a few problems yesterday MG. could load up the mainpage but when i would click onto the forums section it would give me that Database error.

No problems at all today, running nice and smooth now

The only probs I have had are database (can't connect) errors and pages loading very slowly.

I get a lot of 'database' error messages and pages/replies loading very slowly, if at all. Sometimes it's bad, other times not so much. frustrating tho.

Have you tried to delete temporary internet files, cookies, and reinstall java?

I haven't had any problems other than the DB Error. At times the site runs very slowly, but I don't consider that a "problem"... just an annoyance.

What worked for me today was: when I got the DB error I tried going to the sr home page (SoberRecovery: Drug Rehab | Drug Addiction Treatment Center | Alcoholism | Addiction Mental Health | Directory Substance Abuse Detox Programs). It loaded. I clicked on a link OTHER thank "forums" - in this case, I clicked on "blogs" and it loaded. From there I could go to the normal forum homepage. This HAS NOT worked in the past, but it DID work just now.

Also - is there a trick to using the backup site? I couldn't log on with my normal password there. Thanks!!

I had a problem for a few minutes yesterday. Today I have had problems on and off for at least an hour. I went to the front page and saw this error:

Explanation

You called a function which attempted to access a database, but CaRP was unable to connect to the database or doesn't know about an existing connection to the database.

Causes and Solutions

* Your database configuration data is incorrect: Verify that the configuration information that you've given to CaRP is correct (probably in carpconf.php, or in the code of your page where you're using CaRP).
* You are using both mySQL caching and CaRP Evolution's mySQL plugin, but you've only configured one of the two: mySQL caching and the mySQL plugin must have their connection configurations done separately. Be sure you've done both.
* Your webpage has already opened a database connection, but CaRP thinks that it needs to open a connection (but doesn't have the necessary configuration settings to do so): Set the mysql-connect configuratin setting to 0 (zero) or store the connection ID from the connection you opened in the mysql-connection setting.

I deleted my temp files, MG. Restored Java to default.

Wow..PC runs lightning fast again..but I still don't see a difference in the previous

problems with images or posting.

Attending a convention tonite..if you have advice..please give it.
