| That stinks!
Golf, I remember reading the book that came out on him at least ten years ago and remembering how this could have been me I was reading about. What a shame. Being a Red Sox fan remember him pitching against us. Do you know if he was clean at the time of his death? My condolences! |

| My friend Steve Howe passed away yesterday. He beat an awful addiction and was able to return to the majors. He was a great person and will be missed. Hi Golf I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I have no idea who he is or what sport he played - and I would really like to know. Could you share a few details? Did you play sport with him? In any event - he was a hero - he had faced his addiction and had taken control of his life again..... a man truly to be admired. Thinking of you at this sad time. Woops |

Woops, He was a baseball player. A great pitcher that was suspended seven times due to failed drug tests. He was out of baseball for sometime, he beat his addiction and had a successful comeback. I was a pitcher as well and came to know him through clinics and card shows. He was a positive and confident person. We were never teammates but our teams faced each other a few times. |

A self-confident person. Always had something positive to say about others. His renewed outlook on life was outstanding. When he said he was going to do something..he did. He was suspended from baseball 7 times due to drugs and he finally cleaned up and made a successful comeback. One of a kind. | |
