Hey Janet! It's me, Tina76! I actually signed up for this site a long time ago (aroudn the same time I found Healthboards) but had never actually posted on here... It took me a bit to remember what screen name I used and then I found my registration email saved in one of my email folders. Tinert is a nickname that my friends call me from time to time.... I use it a lot for screen names. I don't remember why I didn't use it on Healthboards....

So you are really liking this board more? Not as many rules...goodness, HB has a lot of them!!! I haven't checked them for this board yet. I'll have to look around some, just jumped right into this thread to let you know I got your message over on HB. Now I will have to take some time to look aroudn on here.

I am very sad about Dale. I am upset that I wasn't ever able to find a way around the rules over there to be able to get in more personal contact with him. It would have been nice....

YOu will also see that I was able to finally get some support here for the Nutracleanse and many of us have come together to help one another. I think you will like it here. A weird thing happened earlier. I was on here and saw a new registration for the name Buzzjen from Abiline TX. I am hoping that it is Jen and she will contact us through here so that we can pay our respects to Dale. I wish we could have connected with him before....I really wanted to do something to show my respect and friendship.

Tina (Tinert)--and all my other HB buddies, who I am hoping and praying will find this board WELCOME!! Thanks to Agentalias, last month, I landed here safely from Cyberspace! :-)

Beginagain--You take the prize for "Most Courageous" for going under the radar--and outwitting the very "sick" Mod 1 of HB!! If he weren't so dangerous, toying with lives as he's done for years now, I would almost have to laugh he is so predictable in just who will eventually get "banned". You can bet it will be those he feels somehow "threatened" by---intimidated in some way by their intelligence, knowledge, wit, compassion--and their ability to bond and connect with others as close friends, rather than merely "stick-to-the-topic, stick-to-the-rules" featureless posters. I realize he is truly mentally ill--and no doubt not a very happy individual--but his power is scary--and way too often, so personal. And I've watched the very needy and helpless-- along with the most knowledeable and informative--posters be "extinguished" (as I call it) from both the help they need--and the help they would have given others.

Seeing "Jen" told not to post on the dying Dale's thread was the most horrific, though. Once again, Mod 1 wrote a new rule to break up the care and compassion, that a group of new friends were sharing with a poster in need. But, this time--the poster was dying--and Mod 1 ws STILL unable to curb his anger at what he once wrote me (in reference to another thread I queried) were "cliques that had absolutely no place on this Board.")

And, now, there is not even a proper way to express our sadness and feelings of loss at Dale's death--and to extend our friendship to his friend, Jen, who made his last months such happy ones. I so hope that she finds this Board. I felt so terrible to see her post about Dale an hour ago. :-(

(By the way, Valleygirl--if you find us here--I hope!--I've wanted to say for so long, now, that the reason I stopped writing to you in a more close, chatty way last year, was because the Mod made it clear to me that was a "no-no"--implying that YOU would get banned, too. I felt very bad not being able to tell you why my chatty posts to you had suddenly stopped.)

Anyway, guys, I do hope when I check back tomorrow morning that more of you will have found your way here. I'm so glad, Tina, that you made it here safely! :-) (And I am so THRILLED that Lucy came home! My heart literally jumped for joy when I read that! :-)

This board is truly a safe, supportive community and I sincererly hope this can be your new home. You are all welcome here and your experience, strenth, hope and stuggles are met with genuine caring and support. Hey guys...another old Healthboarder!!! I am so glad I found you guys!!! I also lost all faith in the board with the Nutracleanse issue then how they dealt with Dale and Jen. It was a dying man's last wish to communicate with others and they where so heartless to not allow it. That blew me away!!! Anyway, I am hanging in there and dealing with attempting to move past the NC issue. I will give a more detailed checkin tonight after work.

Well I sort of just posted a new thread and asked all my old friends to watch...they did and when I knew they were online watching I put the website out there and told them we were here and could communicate and support one another openly. I waited long enough to assure they had seen it (a minute or two) then edited my post and removed the website and changed the messages I had written to say something else. I guess either the Mod was watching or had a way to view the history of the post beofre it was changed.

I don't think anyone will be upset except maybe BY....I'm not sure she wanted to be over here but got wrapped up in my post. I feel bad about that because she was a wonderful source of encouragement and support over there for new people. I hate that the mod is so difficult. You could never really share any recovery...not even written materials that might help someone. Like I said I am selfishly glad everyone is here...or getting here...but I hope that I didn't hurt or anger anyone.

Why did you guys get banned? for talking about Dale and that's it? Appalling...I also feel they do such a disservice to people who really need help. I mean c'mon now...isn't an "addiction and recovery" forum and didn't Dale fall under "recovered addict" but only became sick in the end? I hate them and who needs them?
