yeah. well, suboxone. works great. i was a heroin addict for years. went to inpatient. started suboxone. 4 mg 3times/day. weaned down to 2 mgs/ every other day after about 4 or 5 months. it was an easy detox but i realpsed. started using for a few weeks. called my doc. now i'm back on 2 mgs twice daily. never felt a withdrawl though the stuff works great, for me. when i went to 2 mgs every other day...on my 'off' day i was a little tired but that's it. no real withdrawl feeling. good luck. it should be a walk in the park. i think a lot of it is in the head so don't look for withdrawl symptoms. just be positive and know that it's working and you should be fine....cool cool. mike

Hi rampage,, WELCOME TO SR!!!!! I agree with phish. I am on Suboxone. Are you detoxing, and weening off? Is there a certain period of time that they keep you on it? It basically will take away all of your withdrawls. You really will have none, coming off opiates. Have you waited your 18-24 hours since last using, before taking the first sub? That is the MOST important thing I can tell you about it. I hope your doctor already has told you that. The other thing I would like to tell you, in my experience is, the lesser amount, the better off you are. Like phish said he is on 4 mgs total, but there are people that stay at like 2 mgs. Good luck, and let us know how it goes, we are here for you.. God Bless, Love and prayers, Becky

By the way,, keep on posting and let us know how you are doing.. ![]() I do hope you get involved in some type of 12 step group, such as NA/AA/ or there are other groups out there as well.. But whtever your decision, it is very important to join something, and get support.. It's really important to be around people that understand, and are there to help,, rather than all the people we were originally hanging with, that we really can no longer hang with,, that are still doing the drugs.. At least that is the way it is for me.. Love, Becky
