It is 7 pm here and I have almost finished day 1. It just kinda sucks because now I have activated the physical cravings and my body just feels like it needs it now. I am not going to use because I am not letting that stuff stand in the way of the person I want to become.

It is hard....but people get through this all the time and so will I.

I'm sick of feeling like crap and praying that this will be the last time I have to feel this way.

Every day that you can ignore the plea's of the beast put it deeper into it's slumber. Then it just becomes daily maintenance.
So glad you got right back into living.

Taking care of myself just for today.
A little bit of exercise took care of the urges.
Feel much better now.
I am fighting to put that beast into a deep slumber.

forgive my ignorance - what is it that you are detoxing from?

Im just ending day 1 of heroin detox, after a 9-day clean period got screwed by taking more yesterday!

Keep the faith (whatever that may be) - and keep posting!

Cheryl,please dont be offended or take this wrong.I really hope you get this someday,or this disease may just evenually kill you.I really like you and think your a sweet girl.I am glad you are here.You are no doubt a part of the SR family.Everyone around here loves you.I also admire how you keep coming back.I will never give up hope for you.I am just afraid someday you will not make it back.And that would really be sad.

Stormy, we can do this together.

I'm wrapping up day 2 now and this day has been so horrible.
Been sick most of the day, weak, exhausted, feel like poking my eyes out which I won't do but grrr, and trying to focus on the fact that it will get better.

But it does get better.....just working on finding that moment.

Yes me too, wrapping up day 2 here. Feelings tired today, anxiety ridden, doesn't it suck!!! Let's stop doing this to ourselves!!!!

Yeah, we are only going onward and upward from here. When we get an urge to use, let's remember these horrible times.
Then we'll know that it truly isn't worth the pain it causes.
