Fiorinal is not an opiod but very addicting. It is old (1920's). It is also available in a narcotic form: Fiorinal w/Codiene #3.

((((Alera)))), How's it going with the taper these days? Minus 8 days!!! I'm still really excited that you're doing this! Keep us posted!! alanis, Alera is right. Plain Fiorinal/Fioricet contains butalbital which is a barbiturate rather than an opioid/narcotic. Actually I prefer not to use the term "narcotic" because it means so many different things to different people. Now tramadol, while not chemically an opioid, functions just like one in the body (as you know) so it may as well be considered one. Love and hugs, Eddie

Ultram is just tramadol, an opioid-like drug. Ultracet is tramadol plus acetaminophen (Tylenol). And Darvocet is propoxyphene, a weak opioid, with acetaminophen. The "cet" part of the names means it has the Tylenol component. Like FioriCET has the acetaminophen in it, too. Love and hugs, Eddie |
