Hi folks - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hi there. Just a new user joining the group. I have been reading the posts and think I found the right place I have been looking for. I'm grappling schizophrenic disorder (not taking meds) with alcohol and cocaine abuse and looking for a new path in life. I applaude the openness, sincerity, and love expressed by this forums members. I dream of a sober life and so look forward to being a part of this online community and making the change. Trying for sober day 1 tomorrow.

you've found the best recovery site on the net!
i suggest you also introduce yourself over on the newcomers forum.
life is soo much better clean and sober...first hand experience!
just a little tip, you can start your day over right now!! simply by not using for the rest of today

i hear ya...when i was using seems EVERY day was a tough one. I got sick and tired of being sick and tired.
i too used alcohol and coke...then they started using me. Almost used me right into a grave.
Not today though, i only have to concern myself with today...if i have one foot in the past and one foot in the future that leaves me pi$$in' on today. It's all we've got.
Have you considered AA or NA??

Hello, hey, how u doin, glad to see you here. I just did my first post today too and the feeling I have right now is one I've not ever had before. It's almost a new confidence...a confidence no one else knows the feeling of. Maybe you'll feel the same way by the time you leave your computer tonite! Stay here.. I believe this is the best step for us "high" steppers!!
