I stopped using coke (yay etc etc) a few days back and since then more and more freaky stuff keeps coming out of my nose and it STINKS and so does my breathe! It's so foul... it makes me gag and I'm constantly blowing my nose, spitting, and using mouthwash...but it wont go away. Is there anything I can do? I probably have a sinus infection and I'm seeing a doctor on friday... do you think it's that or something else? My mouth constantly taste like sour milk or something (I'm vegan so that might not be an accurate description)

Yup, sound's like a sinus infection. Though I am not a Doc.,maybe you should call him!

drink lots of water and juice that should help to thin out the mucus. Don't forget that mucus is helping something come out of your body. Since you are vegan I know you are not eating any mucus forming foods right? The smell you are refering to does sound like an infection. Go to the health food store and get some "OPCs" it could help to clear it up...and make your body stronger for whatever meds your doctor might prescribe...

Richey, you're a hoot! Yes prob an infection, so follow the suggestions, including water and more water. You're prob very dehydrated from all the junk and your bod needs water to make all the icky stuff that keeps it running. Maybe toss some vitamins back just for kicks as well. Have you eaten anything lately???

I've drank heaps today...I must've been really dehydrated...8 glasses of water/juice and i haven't peed yet...not since this morning when i woke up o_O
What's OPCs?

Yup, I must be dehydrated...I'm drinking loads and it's not coming out...plus I swear I'm swelling up because normally my jeans are too big and i need a belt but i don't now (and i did earlier today)
I ate 3 oatmeal cookies today and had some coffee... hmmm... I should probably get something eat before i pass out in this heat!
I have some kids vitamins (they're the only ones that don't taste of fish)...do you think they'll actually help or is it just a random suggestion?
It's kinda got better now...tastes much less vile and I can't smell it...my nose is all cracked inside though...I reckon it's more to do with the heat and dust though than coke...I wonder if i could stick something up there to help :/ I tried water but it washed all this gunk down the back of my throat which made me puke and really stung...

OPCs are a very powerful antioxident....it sounds like you may also have a bladder problem if you are unable to urinate after drinking all that fluid

Richey, knowing that you're vegan, addict, and somewhat impoverished, you more than likely don't eat right. The vitamins will help substantially. Just don't take more than 100% the daily allotment of D,E, A, or K. Might take several of the kids vitamins per day, check the label or ask the 'chemist' (isn't that what they call the pharmacy guy in Britain?- shades of Monty Python).

Good to hear that you're feeling better.

DONT use the over the counter nasal sprays- they have saline, which is salt water, will burn like a mother!

There is a gel product you can get to ease the cracking of nasal passages, but just upping your water use should get your body back to healing. Try not to put any more chemicals up your nose for a while. I know- those nasty chunks really make you hurl, don't they. It's so gross what can come out of our bodies if we abuse them.
