questions worring about my friend - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hello. One of my friends said that he has dont pot, perks, and oc. I am worried none the less but I don' know what perks or oc is. I would love if someone could tell me. I really care about my friend and would like to know what he is doing. Someone plese help me out here.

Hi,
Welcome to SR.
I'm thinking that perks are probably percodan.
OC is oxycontin.
Both opiate and narcotic.

Tanya is right. OCs are OxyContin and Percs are probably Percocet or Percodan. All contain oxycodone, which is an opiate, or narcotic, for pain. You and your friend will be in my prayers! This was my drug of choice.

Thank you so much for the responces. I didn't expect them back so soon but thank you very much. I am a little more at ease knowing what he is doing now insteady of thinking it could be real bad. Again Thank you soooooooo much.

Oxycodone IS really bad. Percocet lead me to Oxycontin which lead me to heroin which lead me to methadone and methadone is a real ************.

Tell your friend that he should nip it in the bud, I never thought I'd end up on heroin or methadone from eating a few pain pills, but it happened and it happens to other people every day. Tell him to stop while/if he still can.

You're welcome, Sam! But Blake is right. Your friend needs to stop before it's too late. You might suggest he go to some open NA meetings, OK? Take care! You'll both be in my prayers, too.

Again thank you for the help and info. I know it is still not safe and all it is just i was real real real real worried casue i didnt know wat it was. atleaast now i know wat it is and wat it will do to him. thank you so much
