Yep yep. Some might say triggering, but I say a great reminder. I love the folk tunes, but eventually I just need to BLOW SH*T UP!!!!

Feeling things crawl on me - I need my fix today. This is way beyond me - I can't live without you today.

Musically, this is an indescribable time in the world of music with some amazing collaborations that have happened and continue to happen; artists who are venturing into refreshing areas. I also enjoy it when hard rock groups like Def Leppard come out with accoustic versions of their music.

Nice TeaTree. This is what I am talking about (people stuck in a Genre). I love the 80's and some people might call us soft for digging it - whatever - I am a softy then. DEAL WITH IT!!!

Time to blow the DAM LID off this thing already. Funny thing is back in college at the CD exchange (I think we were trying to get money for POT) the place would basically give you 99 cents for any CD, but they told us WHITE LION PRIDE? Sorry we can't give you anything for that one!!! HAHA.

Good ramp up.

Gold Dust Woman-one of my faves.

Yeah-many musicians think they half to be about 1/2 tanked up on something in order to perform...some of that may be performance anxiety, but it's a trap, I believe. If I am going through a bout of depression, one sign I'm feeling better is in my singing...I guess meaning I actually DO sing....When I DON'T sing something's wrong and I probably not in a good place....

Good song! thx.

In my biased opinion the late '70's and '80's produced some the best rock music ever. I'm not dissing what's out there NOW, but for me it's just not the same.

Journey, Foreigner,Bryan Adams, 38 Special, ZZ Top, to name a few...

I've got a Mumford & Sons CD that my daughter gave me. Dig it...I tend to get excited when I hear a banjo ringing. I also get excited when artists cross genres. There are soooo many talented musicians and singers out there that are also very versatile-I think it's pretty cool!

Yes sir! I just might surprise some people with my current music selections. After all it will inevitably circle back to Lamb of God Walk with me in HELL, but check this one out. Colin Hay - lead singer from Men at Work (yeah that men at work - who could it be now?, etc.). He has some good solo tunes now. Sorry no banjo, but still a good tune!!!

I don't know if you are a Swift fan, but Taylor has one song one the new album called "Clean". It is beautiful and I find it timely.

Someone said this i think, but i was reading about how we pick music based off our mood at the time and it helps us express ourselves as a safe outlet. So listening to sad music when we're depressed actually helps make us happier. I never got triggered from music really and like others said i think if music invokes feelings/emotions it's a good thing because it's helping you release the feelings you're having at that time. It's pretty interesting, lately i've just been playing whatever gives me a response and it's like a natural high. Thanks for making this a great thread guys gotta check all this out.

Here's my contribution to the thread.

Any time I need to let out some steam and get motivated I just listen to Linkin Park. Hybrid theory In my opinion is one of their best CDs. If you listen to the words their music talk to you about life struggles, addiction, pain, etc.

Well since I love music so much gotta keep this thread going. From one of the greatest addiction/recovery albums of all time A Perfect Circle 13th Step (plus it is Maynard from TOOL!). It is pretty mellow, but lyrics are great as always.
