Cravings and urges can be a b*tch to deal with. I grit my teeth and hold on the best I can till I can talk to another recovery addict or get to a meeting.

Thanks Dee. I noticed the word 'crave' and 'urge' used interchangeably. I don't remember having a lot of craving, mostly just plain sick as death and wanting it over with, now! I didn't want to use though. The urge still plays out from time to time when I feel emotionally uncomfortable, be it bored, lonely, sad etc. I have learned to get up and'fix it' by doing something that makes me happy. It's amazing how one phone call or a session of silly texting with my sister will help. Something to boost my happiness even in a small way will then give me the desire to boost it in a bigger way!
