Heck winninggone and BFD,

I will go for August 1. July has been my month of conquests and defeats, so I am happy to start fresh. It is really helpful to have a place or places, (in this case) to check in.

I've gotten rid of all my substances and plan to get some good sleep tonight! I will check in tomorrow. My test will be making it more than 13 days. I can usually go a week or so but haven't made it more yet!

You guys CAN do it... never forget that... it really is as simple as a choice.

Haha BFD That's a good one! Made me laugh, too I read that post from win I was shocked. I don't run either, and couldn't even think about running during a cold turkey withdrawal!
All I wanted to do was sleep, but couldn't! He must have a lot of stamina!

I am a she . I've been running a long time and training for a marathon in November. When I was coming off opiates no way I could have done it, but this time it's amphetamines and my use is not as bad as it was with opiates. I'm hoping this month will help it not get there!!

Whoops sorry about the gender mix-up, win. That actually makes me even more impressed. I'm a she also. How was your run? Was it tough without the amphetimines?

Anyway, cheers from me to you on this day number 1!

It was a little tough, but i think that was mostly from the heat. I usually go way early or way late, but couldn't today. I actually don't run good on amps, I feel like my hearts gonna bust! If i would just take a little bit it would prob feel ok, but i always take too much. I used to LOVE running on opiates though!.

Yes, I understand what you mean about the heart. Oppiates are actually my doc and the reason I used them was for energy. I felt that I could do anything as long as I had my pills. The problems began when I needed them just to feel normal. That was the beginning of the end for me! What made you decide to take this challenge and stop taking amphetimines?

I had an escalating opiate addiction for almost 2 years I went to see a psychiatrist back in Jan about this, he ended up giving me Vyvanse for ADD ( which I don't have). Haven't been on opiates since then (yeah!) but quickly realized I was trading addictions!!! I've been in a cycle of: get script, use/abuse for a few days or more, get mad at myself and trash the pills then do again next month (I've also used the diet pill phentermine during this time) I've not made it past 13 days clean yet. So this month my goal and test is to make it past 2 weeks! I don't think I can get the Vyvanse anymore, they called me for a urine test and pill count over a week ago and I never went! I usuAlly do really good on the clean time, but as soon as I know I can get a refill on either the Vyvanse or Phentermine then I am weak and before I know it I've gotten a refill. It's almost like a game to even see if I can get them.
