Hi, welcome to SR. I'm an alcoholic, but you'll find many wonderful people on this Substance Abuse forum who can offer you support and understanding. Addiction often begins innocently enough and somehow, before we know what has happened, it's too late. Hang around and get to know us. Love, Anna |

Hi there!! I'm an addict too. Welcome aboard!! Have you thought about going to an NA meeting in your area? They helped me out so much.

Hi! I'm also new to these forums. And am also addicted to pain killers-ultram to be specific. Nothing else, but-like that matters!! I checked myself into a drug rehabilitation center a little over a year ago and relapsed 8 weeks later. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is-YOU ARE NOT ALONE, we are fighting this battle every day, just like you. But there is strength in numbers. We empower each other by sometimes just listening, sharing our stories, give advice if you so wish to heed it. How strong are you for coming to this forum!!!!That's a big step forward. You should be proud. Remember, recovery is a process. It doesn't happen all at once, but your are here! Welcome and know that I'm sending you good thoughts. |

Welcome to soberrecovery, like they said above, you have taken the first step and reached out for help. You'll get lots of support here. You have a rough road ahead you but we will be with you, supporting you. You can't keep going the way you've been going. Don't worry, I was doing the same thing with prescribed meds and I have a credit card bill to prove it. I used until I ran out of money, then I was forced to withdraw. You can wean yourself off slowly or do whatever a doctor suggests. Please get to an NA meeting as soon as possible, you will feel so much stronger and powerful.
