New to forum and here's my story

my name is debbie and i am a vicodan addict---i have 102 clean days---I am an RN( unemployed because of using and diverting from work--I am an OP rehab in syracuse, ny--I just recently started going to face-to-face AA meetings(and really enjoy them) however i feel i need support at home too!!!!
I am facing very extensive knee surgery in the middle of february and am very!! nervous about that due to addiction VS pain control-- I would appreciate all the support i can get as my family (husband and 4 adult daughters) are less then helpful.

Tell me about withdrawl. How bad is it, how long does it last and how do I get off the f***ing vicodin?

Hello.My name is Toby and I am 7 months clean from a very long and very,very extreme hydrocodone/oxycontin addiction.I wanted to answer the last question someone asked about vicodin withdrawl,first of all,how much do you take daily?How long have you been taking it?Normally vike wd's last 3-5 days, after about the 3rd or 4th day they start to ease up and it gets better and better each day.the 2nd day is usually the worst,or for me and my experience this has been the case. It's like a really bad flu,sneezing,coughing,runny nose,upset stomach,diarhea,body aches,leg cramps,,nauseus,restlessness,can't sleep,depression,very low energy and the list goes on but you get the picture,I hope.It's no fun but it will pass.For me getting off is'nt the hard part it's staying off thats hard.There are a lot of otc meds that really help withdrawls,if you want me to list them just let me know.Email me anytime I will be glad to help in any way I can.(brandy6347@aol.com)
