How long does it take?

I am now on day 14 and feeling quite good. I am still struggling with insomnia but slept through the night the night before last. That was from pure exhaustion after nearly the whole time without sleep. It really felt quite good and I found myself symptom free yesterday. What I had been experiencing prior to finally falling asleep were physical symptoms of fatigue and with that gone - well there you go. I knew that insomnia wasn't done with me yet and true to form last night was bad but all in all this is very rewarding. I no longer wake up when I do sleep with the awful guilt and self loathing that I had before along with many other good things.

My actual reason for this thread is to ask if anyone can help me with some information as to how long before oxy leaves the body. I will be seeing a new Dr. for a different problem and am not interested in a discussion of drug abuse as it is not related to the reason I am seeing her. There will be a full blood panel along with urine test. Anyone know anything.?

I don't know ...my guess is there are too many variables
involved to have an accurate timeline.

Glad to know of your progress...

Individual results may vary... Largely it depends on the ammounts you used to take and for how long. After that it's up to your body's metabolism and it's ability to heal itself.

Excersice (or hard work), drinking lots of water, and a proper diet will help (or at least can't hurt).

I remember going to see Father Martin (don't hear much about him these days?) early on and he said "Oh, so you can't sleep? Well stay awake, you earned it"

I heard one fellow say that he couldn't sleep for so long he got a second job working overnights (stocking shelves at a supermarket). He said it was something to do instead of sitting around talking to himself and gave him a few extra dollars to help dig himself out of the financial hole he had dug himself into.

Hang in there, you can out-last this. It doesn't last forever and each day you get through can give you hope that you can stay stopped and you'll never have to go through this again once you're on the other side of it.

THe oxy is gone from your body in 3-5 days depending on how long and ow much you've used. It's not fat soluble like THC that remains for a month.
Now, how long does it take your brain to heal after quitting? Well, that is determined by many factors including age, physical condition, diet, exercise, etc. Basically, the healthier you make yourself after quitting, the quicker your brain heals!

Thanks for the responses. I was beginning to wonder and my wife read my post and suggested that it sounded as if I was just trying to pass a drug test so I could start using again. I came to the computer to indicate that I am a diabetic who is having some problems with blood sugar levels. I want to have some extra blood work done if it helps the specialist I am seeing but, as mentioned, am not interested in a discussion about my drug abuse.

Slept again last night so 2 out of 3 is really helpful with the sleep deprivation I was experiencing. I know it isn't over though, as I am a chronic insomniac without drugs. Actually, except for the euphoria of getting high, one of the advantages of being a lying, cheating drug addicted ******* was good sleep.
