| Geographical sobriety, can it work??
I’m currently chipping a little dope after a very active and large habit. I am a very private addict. I don’t know any other people that do drugs. I have one connection and if he disappeared I would not know how or where to get my drug. I have an opportunity to move to a new city. The only reason I want to is because it could mean a new start without a connection. Has this ever worked for anyone? I’m so sick of it all. But all it would really mean in the end is dealing with the drug and not the addiction right?. InSaNe CloWn

I tried moving away from my troubles.Problem is,no matter where I'd go,there I was again. You could try for a fresh start. But I'd suggest checking out NA meetings and/or other recovery options wherever you end up.Keep posting...we're here to help each other. phoenix |

Hi insaneclown, I moved from philadelphia to a small town in Kentucky and the problem was even though I did'nt know a single person I took me with me. In my experience geographical change does'nt work. I still found my drug of choice a thousand miles from home. It was'nt until I surrendered to the program of NA that I was able to get any cleantime.
