Fabulous news! Believe me, it gets better with each passing day. I am just about at the 4 months point codeine free. Every now and then I get an urge, but is passes quickly now. Took about 6 wks for me to get the normal sleep back and even now, have an occasional fitful night, but all and all it is good. I feel like a new person and I am 57!!SR has really helped me by sharing and reading and supporting those walking the same path. Keep posting and let us know how you are doing.

Try an NA meeting there you will find tons of recovering addicts at every stage of recovery. It is hard to do it alone but if you choose to at least try and post here like you are today.

Had a real bad day yesterday. Didn't sleep well the night before. But got thru it. Today was way better!
It is so, so good to be off the merry go round! I feel so released and free. Each relapse, it seems harder to pull yourself out. I felt like one of those pilots you see trying to pull a plane out of a spin. You never know if the plane is going to dive straight into the ground and explode, or if he will get it levelled out at the last minute.
I feel like I was lucky to get myself out. (chemist hopping with the current price of petrol is
)
