| Please help w/ oxy - cold turkey
Well, the fisrt step is admitting a problem, and I have done that. The short version is that for the last 6 - 9 months I have been using 5 - 10mg tablets of oxycodone to circumvent the gastric bypass surgert I had. As of a couple days ago, I was taking 4 - 5 tablets a day. I went cold turkey Thursday night. The days have sucked since. Not really sure what to expect as far as withdrawals and how long. I know this wasn't a large ammount of pills or for a real long time. but obviously it is a problem. How long can I expect these cold sweats, chills, runny nose, lose of appetiate, extremely sore muscles and general crappiness to last? A few days, a few weeks, (god I hope not). Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks all

Mate, its been 8 days since I stopped taking 300mg of codeine per day for 8 years. I feel very good, very happy, positive about the future, all I need is a little more energy The first 4 - 5 days are utter HELL. Its like the devil cutting off the top of your head and doing a massive satanic dump that fills your body with pure toxic withdrawal and unhappiness. Good thing is, you sweat and crap that devil turd out and after a week or so you start to feel happy again! Seriously though, the first 4 - 5 days suck, then you start to feel better, after a week you will feel so much better that you will be real glad you done it Good luck mate, ChillyBones
