| The lion sleeps tonight | 4 months + clean.
See, I told ya I could do it !!!! lol I think about using everyday, but i dont act on it. I have a secret weapon............ it;s called H.O.W. Honesty openminded-ness and willingness. I go to meetings and i open my "doughnut hole" and try to be as honest as i can I keep my self open to learning a new way to live ....and i am willing to go to meetings, no matter how much I don't think I need one, or don't want to go. Staying clean is not a piece of cake for me, but it's better than being F-ed up .........and the rewards are plenty. Peace and love Joe |

Joe...that is absolutely fantastic. Your HOW theory has gotten me through a lot of meetings where I felt I was going to be a tad dishonest about wanting to use again. I do, everyday...and I didn't want to admit that. But I am being more honest, more willing to open up to a room full of addicts who are suffering the same way I am. It feels good to share that emotion with others who really get it. I am so happy for you and your four months. You must feel on top of the world. What a great milestone! I don't want to sound condescending...but I am really proud of you! You're definately an inspiration. Can't wait to say I have 4 months under my belt! Great job!

| Member | ((Joe)) CONGRATULATIONS, MY FRIEND! You know that I love you. So, I am nothing less than thrilled that you have four+ months -- OMG, that equals 120+ days of clean time (while still wanting to use)! I'm flabbergasted. Right now, I'm about 110 steps behind you. So, like I said, absolutely flabbergasted. Please, keep amazing me! |

Joe....what can I say, other than, I'm so proud of you. You have been such an inspiration to me and others. You are a very strong and wise person. You're right, I think that we are only as sick as our secrets, and it's very important to tell on ourselves when we are feeling weak. I know it's helped me. For me, it's amazing that I open up at all. I've always stuffed my feeling down...never shared them with anyone. I only dealt with them by using drugs. Sometimes it's still very hard for me to open up, but I know how important it is to share. That helps me heal. Congratulations on your 4 months. You're doing great!!! Love and hugs, Penny
